Mr. Sachse is the Program Manager for one of the largest California Industrial General Permit approved storm water group monitoring programs, SoCal GMP. His Industrial General Permit experience includes SWPPP preparation, instruction on storm water sampling collection and analysis, BMP implementation and evaluation, and technical expert testimony in site litigation. He conducts Storm Water and Hazardous Waste Workshops at numerous national trade shows and conventions, and has taught Hazardous Waste Treatment and Storm Water courses at the University of California and currently teaches a class in Storm Water compliance/management at the University of Southern California. He also provides expert comments before the State and Regional Water Boards on storm water related matters and participates on many of CASQA’s Industrial General Permit Working Group sub-committees.
Mr. Sachse provides employee BMP/SWPPP certification programs for numerous developers, superintendents and their trade partners, as well as providing on-site storm water sample collection training, storm water Permit compliance training, storm water compliance audits for the construction industry, and prepares and reviews SWPPPs and Storm Water Management Plans. He is a continuing presenter at Southern California and San Diego Building Industry Associations Storm Water Workshops, and the Associated General Contractors Association of California Storm Water Workshops.
His background includes environmental management for land development, construction sites, printed circuit board manufacturers, automobile and metals recycling facilities, and various manufacturing facilities. He has earned a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. Mr. Sachse is a State Licensed Professional Engineer, a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ), a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), a Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), a certified CPSWQ, and CESSWI instructor, and a State of California QSD/P, Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner, and a CASQA approved Trainer of Record (ToR.)
